OCREIA is a real estate investment group that has met monthly on the second Thursday of the month since November 2012. Join us on Thursday, February 12 for our next meeting featuring Melissa Korda, a Seattle based investor focused lender with Conventus Lending. Melissa will share practical insight on how investors can fund real estate opportunities with more clarity and confidence. She brings a unique background that blends high performance coaching and real world investing experience. Melissa holds a master’s degree and previously worked as an Athletic Trainer and Strength Coach with the NBA and WNBA. She has owned rentals for years and was an active flipper from 2005 through 2021. In 2020 she transitioned full time into real estate finance as a Loan Officer with Conventus Lending. While she is no longer flipping, she continues to hold rentals and participate in equity partnerships. Melissa is also a committed educator and supporter of other investors. In 2024 she funded 209 loans for investors totaling 118 million dollars. She hosted InvestHER Seattle for three years and now hosts She Invests Seattle. She also teaches on funding strategies for investor groups and communities. Her passion is helping others feel empowered and confident as they grow.
